In a Landscape: Classical Music Concert at Shore Acres State Park

Founded in 2016 by classical pianist Hunter Noack, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild is an outdoor concert series where America’s most stunning landscapes replace the traditional concert hall. In a Landscape brings a 9-foot Steinway grand piano on a flatbed trailer to National & State Parks, urban greenspaces, working ranches, farms, and historical sites for classical music concerts that connect people with each landscape. To meet the acoustical challenges of performing in the wild, music is transmitted to concert-goers via wireless headphones. No longer confined to seats, concert goers can explore the landscape, wander through the Shore Acres garden, lie in sunny meadows, and roam along the rugged cliffs. Concert is Saturday, August 29 at 5 pm. Get your tickets and more information here.

Run Whiskey Run | South Coast Running Club

On October 10, 2026 get ready to shred some single-track trails at the Whiskey Run Trail System! Located roughly 20 miles south of Coos Bay, Oregon, this course will be reserved exclusively for runners who like their trails rolling, smooth, shaded, and oh so loamy.

We’re kicking things off and wrapping them up at the main Whiskey Run Trailhead. The 2025 course has seen some changes due to logging, but the fun remains the same. Register here!

Choose Your Adventure

  • 1.5 Mile (Shirley Temple): A shorter, challenging loop perfect for walkers and adventurous families looking to wet their whistles.
  • 5 Mile (Whiskey Ginger): A full loop on super-premium, top-shelf trails that deserve a hearty "cheers!"
  • 10 Mile (Double Shot): If one loop isn’t enough, stay thirsty, my friends, and imbibe two full loops of the Whiskey Ginger course.

Please note that all courses are 100% single-track trail, which means they are not stroller friendly. We love dogs, but please leave your canine friends at home, as they can easily take out other runners on the narrow paths.
