It's a new year, and we're feeling optimistic about 2023 on Oregon's Adventure Coast: Coos Bay, North Bend, Charleston! It’s always a good time to come here to experience the natural beauty and coastal views that can't be found anywhere else in the country - whether you want to visit in the off season, or during peak season. Last week, we shared some tips on how to plan an Oregon Coast adventure in 2023. In this post, we're sharing some news on what to expect in 2023 on Oregon's Adventure Coast.
So book your hotel, pack your bags, and prepare for an adventure you'll always treasure! Here are five things we're looking forward to this year!
#1 The Return of the South Coast Clambake Music Festival#

As we reported earlier this month, the annual South Coast Clambake Music Festival is coming BACK to rock and roll Oregon's Adventure Coast: Coos Bay, North Bend, Charleston March 10-12, 2023! The weekend festivities will take place in four different venues located in The Mill Casino • Hotel & RV Park in North Bend. This popular music festival offers everything from traditional jazz to 50's rock, including swing, doo-wop, blues, big band and Zydeco from bands across the country. Badges are on sale in Ko-Kwel Gifts now through noon on Friday, March 10. Patrons can also access ticketing info here. #2 Gathering With Friends and Family in the NEW Food Truck Court (Front Street)#
Have you heard about the NEWEST dining option on Oregon's Adventure Coast? Front Street Food Trucks is a family-friendly Food Truck Court/Pod with a full-service bar! This foodie destination is the perfect place for families and/or groups of friends to enjoy some delicious food and drinks. From Mexican fare to gourmet waffles to BBQ, there's something for every taste and craving! Be sure to follow them on Facebook for a current listing of food trucks & hours.

#3 Gliding Along the North Bend Ice Skating Rink#
Ice skating on the Oregon Coast? Yup! If you haven't heard about our newest attraction, the North Bend Ice Skating Rink is open and will remain open through February 19, 2023! There is no fee to enter, and ice skates are only $5 an hour!

#4 Getting Some Self Care at Beautiful You#

Beautiful You, a Medi Spa in Coos Bay, has a new location in Coos Bay Village where you can unwind as you take in gorgeous views of the bay. Led by Dr. Garry Vallier and highly talented skin care professionals, the spa offers many services to repair, rejuvenate, and enhance the health and beauty of your skin.
#5 Returning to the Egyptian Theatre for a Classic Film or Concert#
You don't need to travel across the world to visit an historical Egyptian landmark, there's one on Oregon's Adventure Coast! The Egyptian Theatre, a historic 1925 movie theater and performance venue, is open again! Located in the heart of downtown Coos Bay, the beautifully restored and historic entertainment venue features classic movies, live entertainment and, of course, the famous Wurlitzer Organ throughout the year - a fun destination for the whole family!

- Coos Bay Downtown Farmers Market - open every Wednesday (May through October 2023) from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. Make sure you also explore the Bay Area Farmers and Artisans Market located at 999 N. Front St, Coos Bay!
- The Coos Bay Downtown Wine Walk - the first Friday of each month, except January!
- The Coos Art Museum regularly hosts rotating exhibitions and special educational events, so each trip promises a little something different. Please view their Facebook page for updates.
- The Coos History Museum is the place to begin your south coast adventure. The museum hosts ongoing exhibits featuring Native American history and our region’s mining and logging traditions.
